Living Waters PH Church, doing business as Living Waters Christian Community and referred to here as “LWCC,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” respects the privacy of our members, visitors, and website guests. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We collect information you give us directly, including when you fill out a paper form at the church, submit our online contact form, request prayer, register for an event, or make a donation. This may include your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, and any message you choose to send us.
When you visit lwccnc.org, our web host records standard technical information such as your browser type and the pages you view. We do not use this information to identify you personally.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to communicate with you about church services, events, ministry updates, prayer requests, and weather-related closings; to maintain our church directory; to process and acknowledge donations; and to respond when you contact us.
Text Message Program
LWCC offers a text messaging program that sends church communications to members and attendees who have agreed to receive them.
- How you join. Members and attendees opt in by providing their mobile number on the LWCC Directory Update Sheet or another written church form that states the number will be used for church text messages. We do not add anyone who has not agreed, and we never purchase or rent phone numbers.
- What we send. Service reminders, event announcements, ministry updates, prayer requests, and weather-related closings.
- How often. Message frequency varies, typically 3 to 5 messages per week.
- Cost. Message and data rates may apply. LWCC does not charge for these messages; any charges come from your mobile carrier under your own plan.
- How to stop. Reply STOP to any message to be removed from the list. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further messages. You may rejoin at any time by replying START or by contacting the church office.
- How to get help. Reply HELP to any message, call the church office at (919) 596-6909, or email info@lwccnc.org.
- Carrier support. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We Do Not Share or Sell Your Information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.
We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal information you give us. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the church’s communications, such as our website host and our text message provider, and only to the extent needed to deliver the service. Those providers are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. We may also disclose information when required by law.
How We Protect Your Information
We limit access to member information to church staff and volunteers who need it to carry out their responsibilities. Our website is served over an encrypted connection. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard what you entrust to us.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Information about minors participating in church programs is provided by a parent or guardian.
Your Choices
You may ask us to correct or remove your information from our directory or mailing lists at any time. To opt out of text messages, reply STOP to any message. To opt out of email, use the unsubscribe link or contact the church office.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.
